Valkyrie couldn't help but laugh at Percy, more at the fact that he was laughing, not necessarily that she found his pain amusing. She liked that about Percy, that he was someone she could have a laugh with. Also, he was a pretty decent kisser.

"Come on," she said, grinning at him as she got to her feet. "I want to put the heads of the decapitated ones on the picket fence as a warning to others. Then we'll take a look at those injuries."
