Make you stay in one spot, not talk, things like that. Then you have your second name that is basically your magical name. Mine is Valkyrie Cain. Knowing that prevents people from using your first name against you. That's as far as most people get with names."

The only real way to discover your True Name was to use the book that had been destroyed. Lucky Valkyrie, she had found out just before that had happened.

"Then there's your True Name. Mine is Darquesse. If someone knows that, they can make you do anything they want. If you know your True Name, there's a way you can prevent that. I thought what would happen is someone would learn my True Name and make me destroy the world. So I had it tattooed on my heart to prevent that, but that hasn't changed all the visions where I destroy the world."
